Three times a week, we host a FREE breakfast club in the Arches at Holy Trinity Church Ripon. It’s a fantastic, sociable and nutritious start to the day – and you can come as often as you like.
When’s it on?
From 08:20 to 08:50 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, in term-times.
What’s on offer?
Adults and children are welcome to help themselves to:
Brown or white toast & preserves
Selection of cereals & milk
Orange or apple juice, tea & coffee
A hot special each day – rotating between baked beans, scrambled eggs, sausages and porridge.
A nutritious, healthy breakfast helps children to perform better at school
The right breakfast items can help children to avoid developing a wide range of conditions, including asthma and Type-2 diabetes
Children bounce out of bed on Breakfast Club days, so mornings are less stressful
Children eat better at Breakfast Club, among friends and not distracted by games or TV
Having breakfast together helps families to have more quality time
Eating with other families helps children to socialise and helps everyone to make new friends
It’s easier to get to school on time – we ring a bell 5 minutes before it’s time to head for the Holy Trinity schools.
Who can come?
Family Breakfast Club is mainly designed for the families of Holy Trinity Infants’ School, but it’s also open to:
their younger and older siblings, whether pre-school or attending any other school (we have highchairs)
Year 3s at Holy Trinity Junior School
parents, grandparents, childminders or other carers of these children (we’re always very pleased when dads attend, so don’t be shy!)
families from other schools, if they feel they might benefit. Please note that children may not attend without an adult/s, and adults may not attend without a child/ren.
Why do we do it?
As a church, we want to love our community and build on the connections we have with the two Holy Trinity schools. We want people to feel comfortable coming into our building, and to be a welcoming space for them.
