Twiggy’s Play Centre – Thirsk

Things to do/see: Twiggy’s is a 4000 square foot indoor play centre in Thirsk, based on the wonderful Yorkshire Countryside. Nestling in the shadows of our own White Horse, the centre provides a safe and secure environment in which children under 10 can run off excess energy and have great fun.

Opening Hours:  7 days per week, 10am – 6pm. It is also available for private hire outside of these hours for either community groups or private parties.

Location: Twiggy’s Play, Unit 2, Concept Business Park, Allendale Road, Thirsk, YO7 3NY

Call: 01845 523553.

Wacky Warehouse

Address: Squinting Cat, Whinney Lane, Harrogate.

Things to do: This is the smallest of the Harrogate soft play areas, but the only one (as far as we’re aware!) that you can have a ‘drink’ in as it is attached to the Squinting Cat pub. It is usually pretty quiet here during the week. They run a tots club during the week which is cheaper entry during school hours and there are sometimes free craft sessions (face painting/ drawing etc).

Winkies

Address: Provincial Works, The Avenue, Starbeck

Things to do: Good play area- most parts are visible from the café. Has a ‘mini town’ area and plenty of ride on toys. It has a couple of big trampolines plus the usual slides/ball pools etc. I would say it is better for toddlers than crawlers as the little ones area isn’t that great. Winkies is also home to a kids hairdressers (Snip n’ Hip) a couple of days per week.
