Punishment Week at the Workhouse
Mon 23 October to Fri 27 October, 11am – 4pm daily
Discover more about Victorian Punishments in the Workhouse this half term with finger
stocks, back straighteners and punishment trails in store. These ‘fun’ family activities reveal the strict Yorkshire Workhouse regime that was in place for young and old in the past. There will also be seasonal baking and craft activities to enjoy during your visit: bake spiced apple biscuits and make Halloween dunces caps and scarey spiders!
Activities are free but museum entry applies.
Fri 27 October, 6pm.
Enjoy Halloween family fun at the Workhouse. Come along to our party evening and experience the corridor of fear, take part in Halloween themed party games and create seasonal crafts. Entry is £2.50 per person/ child. Tickets available from the Workhouse Museum and online.
