Ripon is a little city with a big heart, and the local community and businesses are rallying together on 1st August to celebrate our county’s national day. With nearly 200 mayors and dignitaries from across the country taking part in a parade through the historic city, there will be plenty for people to see and do.
To celebrate this day, Ripon based international digital marketing agency www.bronco.co.uk have produced an infographic to celebrate Yorkshire, showcasing all it has to offer and a few little boasts added in. What many people don’t realise is that Ripon holds historic significance in Yorkshire and in the UK due to its claim as Britain’s oldest city. Additionally it’s a popular tourist destination and part of the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Ripon, as well as many parts of Yorkshire, have been chosen for different TV and film productions due to its scenic landscapes and historic buildings, and over the last few years it has also been a port of call in Tour De France and the annual Tour de Yorkshire.
