The picturesque towns and villages of the Ripon & Nidderdale area will once again play host to world-class cyclists as the Tour De Yorkshire 2019 will come through our area.
Friday 3rd May
On route from Barnsley to Bedale, the women’s and men’s race will go through Leeds, Harrogate, South Stainley, Ripon, North Stainley, West Tanfield and on to the finish line in Bedale.
The first stage of the women’s race will follow this route first, with the riders expected through Ripon at about 11.21am – 11.41am, arriving at the finish at about 12.33pm – 12.55pm. Full details of the women’s timings can be found here. The second and final stage of the women’s race will be from Bridlington to Scarborough on 4th May.
The caravan will pass through Ripon at about 3.46pm and onto the finish at 4.31pm. The men’s race is expected to come through between 5.13pm – 5.27pm with the riders expected to arrive at the finish in Bedale between 5.47 – 6.04pm. More timings can be found here. Sunday 5th May
The final stage of the men’s race, know as the “Yorkshire Classic” will start in Halifax, heading through Masham, Grewelthorpe, Kirkby Malzeard, Pateley Bridge (where the riders will again tackle Greenhow Hill), Greehow Village and on to the finish in Leeds.
The caravan will go through Masham at 1.55pm and Pateley Bridge at about 2.41pm. The race itself is expected to go through Masham between 3.16pm – 3.32pm and on through Pateley at approximately 3.47pm – 4.07pm. For more timings along the route please click here.
